Hi Michelle! thanks for sharing ! I have a question, why do you use WooCommerce + Wishlist? What´s the main difference in using just WL + Paypal button?

With the extension, can you sell bundles?

    Thanks!!

      Hi Dulcia –

I like using woocommerce because the reporting features are fantastic. I can easily create coupons and connect it to various payment methods. I often work with folks who create multiple courses – this allows me to have a store with each item.

If you want to sell bundles, you will need to get one more woocommerce extension to handle that.

    Hello Michelle,

Do you know if if you can use the WooCommerce WishList Plugin in conjunction with the WishList Recurring Payments Plugin to create a monthly subscription for your membership site?

Hi Robb – I haven’t tried those two together, so can’t say whether they work – the woo team is awesome if you want to write them. I think you can try using the woo subscriptions extension.

    Hi Michelle

Great video. I have the Parallax Pro theme and thanks to your tutorial have gone right ahead and purchased Wishlist Member to go with it.

I also purchased the WLM SmartNav plugin so I can customise menus for my different member levels. The problem is it doesn’t seem to be working with my custom menu widget which allows me to display my menu in the top bar like you have done. Instead it creates the separate menus underneath.

Is there a way around this or does it involve getting stuck into the code?

    Thanks

Hi Katie! I haven’t used the smartnav plugin – but what I might suggest trying is a sidebar navigation.
That way you could use genesis simple sidebars (this allows you to create specific sidebars on whatever page you want) and try using the smartnav as a sidebar widget and see if that works (I know it works for the wishlist checklist plugin). Hope that helps!

I remember reading this post when this site appeared on the Showcase. I’m assuming the main site that the course went to was already done in Divi? I thought that you had Divi in your resources page at one time. Did you do the Divi site for them? Do you still use Divi?

      Hi Bill,

Good eye 🙂 This particular course has gone through a couple iterations. The first version I did on a Genesis custom child theme. Then the client combined a few sites together, and I moved the course to a Divi install. We’re re-launching another site for her and I’ve moved back to Genesis. I’ve gone back and forth with Divi the last two years – I like it for simple or one-page sites. But I’ve run into a few issues with Divi when updating (mainly formatting issues) and sometimes I find the page builder to be really slow. The majority of my work will remain in the Genesis framework. Now I’m really loving Beaver Builder for my page layout plugin – I find it so much easier (and faster) to use than Divi. Plus I find it much easier to do custom functionality and formatting with Genesis.
