Somethings are universal. Like Chipotle
It doesn’t matter if you’re vegan, paleo or keto.
It’s a place pretty much everyone can agree on (unless you’re intermittent fasting…)
A few weeks ago, I was sharing some tacos with a friend who just launched her fitness studio and is struggling to make ends meet.
As we unwrapped the foil, she looked wistfully at my bowl and said, I really wanted to get the guac, but I couldn’t justify it.
When you go to Chipotle you have to make a decision.
Do you get the guac or not?
Mmmmmm guac.
Do you say “pile it on” or do you hold back and say “not today, I got bills to pay.”
It’s that extra $2 green scoop that feels like an indulgence.
If you’ve been around this crazy online world for a minute, you know that people fixate on huge launches and 7 figure business. And there’s no shortage of “gurus” trying to sell you on their “6 figure coaching method.” And it can be more than a little disheartening to hear someone’s “stretch goal” is $10 million.
Building a brand and selling products can be very lucrative. But it can take real money to get there (you can spend a lotta dough to get those big launch numbers – between the facebook ads, the expensive team who actually does the work and let’s not forget the influencer connections who can make it happen for you).
And in reality I know that for most people an extra $1000 a month can be seriously life-changing.
- That was the mortgage on my first DC apartment.
- It’s a car payment and groceries.
- It’s a big student loan payment.
- It’s taking a chunk out of a large medical bill (thanks US insurance system…)
Or maybe it covers the little extras in your life. Like the guac.
An extra $1000 a month is not a dream, It’s totally doable.
And I want you to always get the guac.
So what’s your guac metric?
- How much extra do you need to make each month to get the guac?
- To feel financially “comfortable?”
- To treat yourself to the little things without fear or judgment?
- To exist is a space beyond just surviving to truly thriving in your business and life?
Maybe you don’t have a big list (or any list!).
